The web-based Textbook management system developed by Magna allow schools to manage their textbook stock to ensure not only that all learners receive the correct textbooks for the academic year, but to also track the condition of the textbook. At the end of each academic year, the system is used to retrieve textbooks from learners, record the current condition, and to issue dunning letters in cases where the learner either failed to return a textbook, or where the condition of the textbook deteriorated more than what is deemed acceptable in so far as making the textbook unusable during the next academic year.

Schools vary with regard to IT resources, to accommodate all schools various options are provided for within the system. The aim is to provide a process which is flexible, easily implemented and efficient.

This Textbook Management system if fully customisable and can easily be expanded to manage the issuing and return of other assets.
